As part of the new search and sort factors, your offer strength is measured by two areas: property content completeness and rate and availability competitiveness. The stronger your offering to travelers, the higher you may appear in search results.

The offer strength factors:

  • Easily identify what elements of your listing content could be improved
  • Help you ensure your room rates and availability are competitive with your offerings on other travel websites
  • Provide actionable recommendations, so you can quicky address gaps and optimize your property content and rates

How it works

Based on signals from travelers across our marketplace, we understand what guests want to know before they book. By comparing this information with the content in your listing and your rates and rooms against other travel websites, our tool identifies and highlights areas of strength and areas for improvement.

Your offer strength factors assess your:

  • Content completeness to confirm you have included critical details like property and room amenities, points of interest, guest policies, fee information, and more
  • Photo quality and quantity to best represent your property, its rooms, and the surrounding area
  • Rate competitiveness to ensure you are providing travelers with the best deals

Check out this great overview video on how guest reviews work on the Expedia Group sites. Reviews will appear first on the booking website, e.g., Hotels.com or Expedia.com, and, after 90 days, they’ll display across all the sites in our marketplace.
