Search volume steadies

Traveler search volumes held steady with the previous quarter and were consistent with seasonal trends in recent years.

Europe, the Middle East, and Africa showed the strongest search growth with a 10% increase in searches both quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year.

Travelers planning for the short term

Travelers are again planning for the short term, following seasonal trends, as the 0- to 60-day pre-trip search window increased by more than 10% quarter-over-quarter while the 0- to 21-day search window increased 15% quarter-over-quarter.

Top destinations for Q2 2023

In Q2, long-haul destinations were on the rise, creating movement among the global top 10 list of booked destinations. While New York City and London were both popular destinations for travelers across all regions, Tokyo moved up in the global rankings, and Boston joined the list.
